How much water was on the Fairgrounds? |
The entire Fairgrounds were covered with water. Depending on the area the depth ranged from 6 to 10 feet deep. You can see photos of the flooded Fairgrounds in the North Dakota State Fair Flood Album

How can I help the Fair? |
Monetary donations are being accepted by the North Dakota State Fair Foundation. Your donation will go towards the cleaning and restoration of the 17 damaged buildings on our Fairgrounds.
You can donate by credit card on the NDSF Foundation website or by mailing a donation to NDSF, P.O. Box 1796, Minot, ND 58702.

Why couldn't you move the Fair to another city or location? |
The State Fair is a unique event and requires a very detailed set up. There are very few locations that would have the required infrastructure to host an event for 300,000 people such as the North Dakota State Fairgrounds.

I only received a partial refund, how come I haven't received all of my money back? |
Due to the refund process of our credit and debit cards you will received a full refund, but it will happen in separate payments. You will receive your full payment by July 31, 2011.

Will refunds also include the convenience and transaction fees? |
Yes, our ticketing company, eTix, has been very accommodating and will be refunding all ticketing fees along with the ticket costs.

Why was the 2011 State Fair cancelled? |
The most recent hydrograph from the National Weather Service predicts the flood rivers of the Mouse River to recede much slower than originally predicted. The Fair was already on a tight timeline before Friday night's rain event.

How do I get a camping refund? |
Camping will be automatically refunded. You will be receiving a check from the State Fair prior to July 31, 2011.

Is the Fair still scheduled for 2012? |
Yes! The North Dakota State Fair will be back in Minot, July 20-28!

You can call the State Fair office at 857-7620 or email your ticket numbers to ndsf@minot.com

How do I get a refund on tickets I bought with my credit or debit? |
All tickets purchased by credit card will automatically be refunded by July 31. You do not need to call the State Fair Office.

When buying my Grandstand tickets online can I pick the seats I want? |
You bet! With our new ticketing system you can pick the exact seats you want and print your tickets from home. This is how the seating sections are arranged. Seats start with row 3 and go up to row 33. The columns are located in row 12. There is a detailed map located in the SRT phone book on pages B-28 and B-29 or you can see it here.
