Icebreaker has been touring the Midwest since July 1983. They were classic rock 'n' roll for seven years, then went to country rock for four years. Seeing a trend in the music industry, they now do both. Icebreaker plays everything from Pink Floyd to Garth Brooks, and with four lead singers, you won't find a stronger vocal band anywhere. Catch Icebreaker in the Pub at 6 & 10pm.

Between juggling razor sharp knives, performing daring escapes and magic, James Johnson will keep you on the edge of your seat. Johnson prides himself in holding a World Record for getting the most people inside a latex balloon at one time. During his show, he climbs into a real six-foot latex balloon as one of his main stunts. From daring to downright silly, his quick wit and pleasing personality makes this show entertaining for all ages.

Johnson will perform three shows per day July 18-23 on Flickertail Gardens Free Stage.

Sherwin Linton, with his infectious smile, charming personality, is a Country Music Legend. Among other nationally recognized accomplishments, the 1971 release of his live album, “Hello, I’m Not Johnny Cash,” was the only Cash tribute personally endorsed by Johnny Cash, and received multiple national nominations from the CMA and ACM. Sherwin shares the stage with his wife, Pam Linton, who’s celebrity style and down home friendliness compliments her talent. Audiences are amazed at the big voice that comes from this little lady, and she can stop the show with her “Tribute to Tammy Wynette.”

Sherwin, Pam and The Cotton Kings will perform 4 shows daily. Their show is sponsored by the Holiday Inn Riverside.

Join the Bowdle Boys for an enjoyable musical experience that will take you back to the days of such artists as the Drifters, Dion & the Belmonts, The Beach Boys, The Eagles and many more!

The Bowdle Boys will be performing four times per day on the Jukebox Junkie stage. There show is sponsored by the Holiday Inn Riverside.

You can either watch the show from your seat or become a part of the excitement by joining the Duo on stage and becoming hypnotized. This show is guaranteed to be hilariously entertaining for both the crowd and the volunteers!

The Hypnotic Duo will perform three times per day on the Flickertail Stage.

The Big Aerial Show is a grand spectacle of aerial circus artistry. Positioned on a custom-built 85-foot high structure, entertainers juggle, wire walk, and perform a host of other daredevil aerial acts. One show highlight includes a daring handstand performed atop a giant sway pole. The Big Aerial Show is filled with courageous feats and the unexpected, and will perform three times each day on the Sports Extreme Stage.

Extreme Canines
Extreme Canines

You may recognize these furry stars from Animal Planet’s Pet Stars, Amazing Animal Video’s, Adoption Tales, or even from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. All of these amazing pooches have been adopted out of pounds and shelters from across the country and turned into stars. From large breed to small, you’ll be amazed as the dogs execute big air stunts, catch frisbees, compete in grand prix style agility racing, and soar to new heights in the “Extreme Canines High-Jump Challenge”. They also jump rope, dance, and more.

The Extreme Canines will perform three times daily on Stage 3, sponsored by Bremer Bank.
Fur Traders Rendezvous

Enjoy life as it was in the past at the popular Fur Traders village located at the center of the fairgrounds. Demonstrations include tomahawk tossing, blacksmithing, and baking in an adobe oven. Children are offered beads after enoying demonstrations, which can be used to barter and trade for prizes. Shooting demonstrations will be held twice daily.

Hedrick's Petting Zoo

Hedrick's Petting Zoo is a place the whole family will enjoy! The zoo provides an exciting experience to meet and greet a variety of animals at the State Fair. Animals range from exotics like kangaroos, camels and zebras, to more domesticated creatures like llamas, donkeys and goats.

Located in the Kid's Kingdom and sponsored by Trinity Health, the zoo is free and is open daily from 11am-9pm.

Kid's Kingdom buzzes with excitement as a petting zoo, giant sand box, kiddie rides, camel rides, a giant bubble tower and clowns keep children entertained throughout the Fair. The area is packed with several fun and free activities to participate in. Ticket purchase is required for kiddie carnival rides and live animal rides.

Step back in time with the Ward County Historical Society’s Pioneer Village. Walk through historical buildings including the General Store, the Blacksmith Shop, and the North Prairie #1 School House. Trace your ancestor’s roots of the early pioneer lifestyle through a variety of exhibits and live demonstrations. Open Daily from Noon-8 p.m. Admission is Free!

The rainforest springs to life as live exotic animals appear from the forest shrubs; 10 foot Kapok trees magically grow, seemingly from nowhere. Hop on a train and be entertained as you witness a personal, hands-on learning experience, as Rainforest Safari passes your way. An adventure awaits!

Thomas Michael was drawn to country music at a young age after hearing Merle Haggard. He began to develop his unique style of writing and singing. With influences ranging from Merle Haggard, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, and Alan Jackson, Thomas Michael and his American Honky-Tonk Band have a sincere desire to remain the REAL DEAL. Be TRUE to your fans, and they will know it!!!

This is Thomas Michael's second visit to the North Dakota State Fair, you can see him live on stage in the Pub at 6 & 10pm.

Bringing kids to the Fair this year? Make sure you visit the Kid's Clubhouse. This air conditioned clubhouse features activites, games, coloring and an indoor playland. The Kids Clubhouse also has a Comfort Zone, which provides parents a family friendly place for feeding and changing infants.

Kids Clubhouse is open every day 11am - 8pm and is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota.
